Imagine what would have happened if Portland would’ve chose him instead of Bowie. This draft was Portland’s biggest? blunder. Not really the Rockets cause they got Olaguwon, but Portland, oh they messed up.

man. both the rockets and blazers made a mistake here. the rockets got ralph sampson, and they chose another? center. they should’ve chose jordan. imagine what it would look like if a prime sampson plays along a young mj.

@pinoypogi1983 The Rockets drafted Hakeem (then simply Akeem) Olajuwon that season. The history of the NBA up to that point said the smart pick is the big man, and Houston was rewarded with a Hall of Famer. It’s hard to say that Houston? made a “mistake,” even if Jordan turned out to be better.

On the other hand, Sam Bowie was a mistake, no doubt about it.
